Moody Weather

It's an odd time of the year to be saying that one of the things I love most about Britain is the moody weather, May isn't generally a good month for it, but today it has been incredibly changeable and we've gone from glorious sunshine to heavy deep grey clouds and rumbles of thunder.

The thing about weather like this is that it makes me want to curl up on the sofa under a blanket with tea and toast and a little stack of films to watch.  That or head onto the Peaks and watch the storm clouds massing!  Today though, I've settled for staying cosy indoors and burning a couple of candles.

I hope you're all having a lovely Saturday,
Jem xXx

  1. I feel so guilty about staying in when it's dry and warm. When it's grey, cold and wet I enjoy not feeling like the world's worst mum if I'm not at the park, or out and about. I went for a run in the heavy rain this morning, it was lovely. Since then, I have lazed around in my p.j's drinking endless cups of Earl Grey and eating most of the cake I made yesterday. Love candles, one of my simplest pleasures. Here's to more grey skies!

  6. Very moody clouds, it's been dark and cold here too. Agreed that you can't beat an occasional duvet day with DVDs and toast. I'm quite happy for it to be horrid here as long as it's nice in Malta next week!

  7. Oh that sounds like a good plan! I love that English weather too, an excuse to stay in when you need it, always something to talk about and something to really really appreciate when the day is fine! Happy weekend lovely lady! X
