Happy Sunday, clutterbugs! Here is an abbreviated rundown of pretty purchases made when I was home in the back of beyond earlier this week, I say abbreviated because if I shared snippets of everything it'd be too lengthy even for you lovely bunch.
There were quite a few additions to my already overflowing stacks of vintage china and glass (surprise, surprise!) but also a large 1960s (I think) Crown suitcase in a great shade of blue. I couldn't quite believe the price tag on the case of £4 but I couldn't wander off and leave it for someone else to pick up either so I carried it around the whole upper floor of a massive antiques centre feeling like someone far more glamourous than me who'd just stepped off a plane looking very Jackie O. Turns out the pricing was right so it came back to Ashbourne with me full of my other finds - a couple of which weren't vintage at all; floral pumps in two different colours - I think they'll get endless wear this summer.
I'd love shelf upon shelf of vintage Penguin and Pelican books, these two came from eBay and were both lucky last minute bids but I dream of coming across a stack of them at a reasonable price - I've seen them being sold at £10 apiece in a couple of vintage shops and shuddered. Too rich for my blood!

ReplyDeleteYou'd of loved the estate sale we went to yesterday - there were tables and tables of endless tea sets of so so many colours. I managed to pick myself one out because it was a cheesy Chicago goodie [i'm off to blog about it later] but I saw all the tea cups and saucers and it reminded me of you!
