Got washii/kawaii/patterned tape? Got clean, empty jars? Then reuse and recycle clutterbugs! Possibly the quickest little make there ever was and super simple; just choose your favourite tape and attach to your jar in whatever way tickles your fancy. I'm a fan of little bands of colour so I kept it simple with two circles of tape on each jar but you could be far more elaborate if the mood took you. My favourite things about this are that it costs next to nothing and is also planet friendly; no pricking at your environmental conscience whatsoever.
Wibble-wobble, wibble-wobble, jelly in a . . . tea cup?! Oh yes, I love jelly - I also love tea cups - merge them and you have the ultimate guilt-free snack which feels far more luxurious than it really is. Orange jelly was always my favourite, this proved a touch controversial in the childhood birthday party stakes. It takes a couple of minutes to stir up a storm, pour into the cups and whack (well actually balance carefully but whack sounds far speedier) into the fridge to set.
Two three-minute makes that have been keeping me smiling! Happy Tuesday,
Hahaha! Can totally imagine orange jelly being the controversial choice as it was always strawberry that was the most popular lol. jelly in a teacup definitely adds a bit more elegance to the whole affair and i really like the simpleness of it. your jars look really cute x
ReplyDeleteLove these little ideas! I adore any reason to use my teacups. Thank you!

I lkove the idea of reusing jam jars for bits and pieces storage - that highly beats the old polystyrene milkshake cup we're currently using for pens!
ReplyDeleteWow! Last week I put cheesecake in punch cups and thought myself a genius. Your teacups are even better. Thanks for sharing such a pretty idea.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!
ReplyDeleteI so thought that Jelly was weak tea. Fooled!

Your teacups are gorgeous and I love your use of empty jars, I find nothing is quite as enchanting as adding your own stamp to something, especially something that could so easily dismissed as rubbish xxx
ReplyDeleteI WANT JELLY! Strawberry jelly. IN A TEA CUP.
ReplyDeleteOh dear, what've you done?
Love the jars - they're so pretty now! x
I love those jars! :) simple but pretty brilliant!!
ReplyDeleteWhat great idea's. I may try the tape on the glass jar I use as a little flower vase (old jam jar), to pretty it up..thanks for sharing. I love the idea of jelly in teacups..I am going to give that a try next time (far prettier then just in bowls I think).
ReplyDeleteThanks for the inspiration :)
Magie x
I've said it before and I'll say it again. You are a genius. Love the washie tape jars (cripes the washie tape possibilities are endless are they not?) and jelly in a teacup is pure brilliance. xx
ReplyDeleteVery inspiring! I'm definitely going to do jelly in tea cups next time i have guests.
ReplyDeleteWill most DEFINITELY be giving both of these a go! I'm sorry I don't have time to comment much (exams/hand-ins) but I'm still very much in love with your blog! Might go and do the washi tape thing now.. haha! xx
ReplyDeleteLovely jars, these would be so pretty with tea lights in. And I've seen tea lights wrapped with a strip of washi tape too - it's great stuff. I'm a big fan of teacups when they've got dessert in!
